Kevin Berthia, then 22, said it was Officer Briggs compassionate voice that helped him open up, stopping him from jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. Officer Kevin Briggs says at the time hadn't experienced anything like this, little did he would end up helping save some 200 others, becoming known as a "guardian" of the bridge. He's now retired and considers the man he helped save his friend.
